Diagnostics
The veterinarians and staff at Den Herder Veterinary Hospital have many state-of-the-art
diagnostic tools to aid in an efficient medical diagnoses for your pet. We strive to provide the highest level of medical care to our patients, and know this cannot be done without speed and efficiency when it comes to making the right diagnosis.
 Ultrasound
Ultrasound aids us in examining and making a diagnosis of your pet’s liver, spleen, kidneys, urinary bladder, gall bladder, intestines, adrenal glands, pancreas, and abdominal lymph nodes. |
 Digital Radiology
Digital radiology offers the ability to take multiple radiographs in a matter of minutes and have results ready for interpretation immediately. |
 Laboratory
We have an extensive in-house laboratory so patients and clients do not have to wait for results of blood work, urine samples, viral screening, fecal samples, dermatology testing, and heartworm testing just to name a few. Speed and efficiency is the key to providing quality medicine. |
 Video Endoscope
Our video endoscope provides us the ability to magnify images of your pet’s ears, nose, throat, etc and displays these images on a monitor so you, the client, can see what we are seeing. It also provides us the ability to retrieve foreign bodies or obtain biopsies from the ears and nose. |
 Electrocardiogram
We perform EKG annually on all pets as part of our routine wellness protocol. An EKG is also performed prior to and during any surgery. An EKG may also be necessary to diagnose and treat any diseases of the heart. |
