In-house Diagnostics

Whether performing routine testing or looking for answers as to why your pet is sick, we can give you accurate results quickly. From blood and urine testing to digital x-ray and ultrasound, we have an impressive array of equipment to satisfy all your pet’s healthcare needs. Getting reliable, efficient answers means your pets can always be their healthiest. Have a look below at our in-house diagnostics services:

Laboratory

Blood work, urine and fecal tests, dermatology testing and heartworm results are just a few of the services we perform in our lab. Having our own equipment is an important benefit for you and your pet because it allows us to deliver those critical answers as fast as possible. To better understand your pet’s blood and urine test results, review these handouts: Understanding Your Pet’s Blood Work  and Understanding Urine Tests. And as always, if you have questions, please ask!

Digital x-ray

Our digital x-ray allows us to discover what is going on inside your pet in just a matter of seconds—three seconds, to be exact. After scanning, we will show you the images and explain your pet’s situation.

Electrocardiogram (EKG)

As part of your pet’s yearly physical, we perform an EKG to see how the heart is functioning. Finding irregularities early on is crucial to intervention, and we have a wide array of prescription medications effective at treating heart disease in cats and dogs. These help manage symptoms and prevent further issues down the road.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound aids us in examining and making a diagnosis of your pet’s liver, spleen, kidneys, urinary bladder, gall bladder, intestines, adrenal glands, pancreas and abdominal lymph nodes. These comprehensive examinations ensure your pet is healthy from head to tail, inside and out.

Video endoscope

Our video endoscope equipment allows us to magnify images of your pet’s ears, nose and throat, and display these images on a monitor for you to see exactly what’s going on. If you’ve never looked inside your dog’s ears before, it might surprise you! We can use this tool to remove objects or do a biopsy.
