Danielle Carpenter, DVM
Dr. Danielle Carpenter was born and raised in northern New York. She received her bachelor’s degree in equine science from Colorado State University. While attending CSU she enjoyed running cross country and track & field. After graduation she moved to Texas and then Iowa where she met her husband. After pursuing other interests, Dr. Carpenter returned to her calling and earned her DVM from Iowa State University in 2014.
Dr. Carpenter has had the privilege of providing care to a variety of animals thus far including dogs, cats, horses, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, llamas, chickens, pocket pets, skunks, bison, ostriches, camels, zebra, capybara, and a coatimundi! Dr. Carpenter enjoys the variety that general practice brings day to day and looks forward to the opportunity to serve the people and pets of the Cedar Valley. She enjoys surgery, internal medicine, and the longevity that preventative care can bring our pets. Dr. Carpenter can’t wait to have fun and learn new skills with her new Den Herder family.
Dr. Carpenter and her husband have one daughter and are currently trying to navigate toddlerhood. Together they share their acreage with cats, horses, ponies, goats, and chickens. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, horseback riding, hiking, gardening, and preserving/canning the bounty of her efforts!
