I am a US Navy Veteran who grew up here in Iowa and graduated from Cedar Falls High School.  I spent the majority of my adult life living in Hawaii and California and have traveled to pretty much every corner of the world.  The favorite places that I have had the opportunity to visit are Australia and New Zealand.   

I moved back home to Iowa recently to be closer to family and started working here at Den Herder Veterinary Hospital in October of 2023.  I have been a Licensed Veterinary Technician for over 25 years and have worked in all aspects of veterinary medicine throughout the years including GP, surgical referral, emergency and shelter medicine.  I am really enjoying all of my co-workers here and especially all of the different animal species that we have the opportunity to care for here.   

I have been a big dog sport enthusiast and have bred and competed with Australian Shepherd show dogs for many years.  I am very proud to have produced multiple Best in Show and National Specialty winning dogs under the Dreamstreet kennel name.  

These days I spend my time with family, my two Aussies Bambi and MeMe and my cat Mouse.  I love gardening and enjoy any outdoor activity, especially camping and hiking and exploring new places.  I am so happy to be back in Iowa, just don’t ask me in the winter, LoL!
